Artist Statement
Casey Eaton is a photographer, painter, sculptor, and designer. She is a young aspiring artist who continues to explore new things through the viewfinder of a camera. Eaton, sometimes, likes to show thing with a more natural and real point of view and to apply daily and sometimes unforeseen things to her work. Other times, she likes to show her ideas in a more glamorous way. She wants to leave the interpretations and feeling of her work left up to her viewers; her work is visually interesting and stimulating. Eaton’s work is done with a digital camera mostly and has some black and white film. In the case of this particular body of work, it is not cohesive because most of it was done mainly for a class; which Eaton is extremely pleases with these pieces. She prefers working with any type of photography because it shows realism and is like a memory captured in time that will last a life time. With photography, it can tell the ugly and, sometimes, untold truth.
